Joyride Coffee Distributors is seeking a Branch Sales Manager to lead our Sales team and operations in New York during an exciting growth period!  The ideal Branch Sales Manager is ambitious, lives for making the sale, and a proactive relationship-builder with a passion for craft beverages and coffee.  He/she is a seasoned manager that develops their sales team to close new business and maintain existing accounts through ongoing coaching and training on effective sales and account management strategies.  He/she is responsible for the sales team’s professional development, overseeing team members' day-to-day activities, coaching them on how to hit their strategic goals, and the branch's overall sales performance.  Additionally, the Branch Sales Manager is the liaison between the local sales team and operations as well as company-wide Sales leadership and is responsible for executing national sales initiatives along with new product roll outs.  He/she will work to expand Joyride’s client base and industry presence, critical for a market operation, by assisting on high level or partner inbounds, building relationships with our vendors, and attending trade shows and other sales events.  

Requirements And Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree; concentration in business preferred
  • 5+ years of management experience
  • 5+ years B2B professional selling and customer service experience
  • Experience in the food and beverage industry and selling into office (OCS) and institutional channels strongly preferred
  • A developed tri-state area professional network
  • Strategic thinker with ability to analyze market, as well as team performance and make recommendations about new practices or channels
  • Strong negotiating skills and ability to analyze sales scenarios and work to the best possible outcome

Essential duties and Responsibilities:

Existing Sales Team

  • Analyze sales team performance against relevant KPIs and actively drive the team to hit targets
  • Delegate incoming interest and individual account loads to maximize closure rates, customer retention and account revenues
  • Ensure that the sales team has a thorough understanding of the Joyride sales systems and tools and are continuing to develop their selling skills
  • Coach the sales team on negotiating customer discounting and contracts according to best practices to maximize sales and customer retention
  • Embody company culture and maintain high employee engagement by fostering an atmosphere of joint purpose and excitement around the products and the company’s goals (both local and national)
  • Act as a role model to sales team members and a resource in resolving customer issues by utilizing Joyride’s process knowledge as well as negotiating and selling skills

Recruiting, Coaching & Training

  • Ensure sales team is adequately staffed as the branch grows
  • Recruit, train, and manage local sales team by working in partnership with Human Resources and Sales leadership as growth of branch requires
  • Make sure new sales associates are onboarded with the necessary support and tools and have a thorough knowledge of Joyride’s sales channels and how best to sell into them
  • Have a thorough understanding of Acumatica and how to use it as a CRM and ERP and help with troubleshooting orders and audit usage

To Sales Leadership and External Stakeholders

  • Synthesize salesperson feedback and their own experience to bring feasible new products and ideas to the VP of Sales
  • Manage new product roll outs and act as a liaison between local suppliers and sales team
  • Meet and exceed quarterly goals related to sales growth
  • Analyze market trends and making suggestions about new channels for sales growth and sales strategy

The Account Manager will be responsible for seeing customers through the entire sales cycle, which includes on-site meetings or tastings, generating proposals and negotiating pricing, facilitating equipment installation, and ongoing order management. We are seeking someone who is highly self motivated, has excellent multi-tasking and time management skills, and has a passion for coffee and craft beverages.

Joyride Coffee Distributors is seeking an Operations Manager to lead, supervise, and grow the operations of our New York branch located in Woodside (Queens), NY.  In this role, the Operations Manager will supervise the local operations of the business and be responsible for managing the equipment service, warehousing, and fulfillment teams as well as any associate plant or equipment.  

The Operations Manager also is responsible for the branch’s operational budget.  As the business continues to grow, they are also expected to meet operational demands by scaling the department through the development and execution of hiring and operational development plans.

Requirements and Qualifications

Joyride Coffee Distributors is seeking an Assistant Brewer to work with the team to drive quality coffee production. We are looking for someone who will be responsible for daily preparation and sanitization of brewing, packaging, and serving equipment. In addition, the Assistant Brewer will help maintain a clean and compliant workplace, adhering to Joyride Coffee’s standards and processes. The position will also assist in receiving deliveries as well as inventory management.

Joyride Coffee is seeking a “pinch hitter” - a seasonal Field Service Associate to be the jack of all trades, jumping in to assist based on daily operational needs during Joyride’s peak busy season (May through September).  In this role, he/she will assist the Equipment Technician team in refurbishing, cleaning, and servicing equipment (brewers and draft/systems/kegerators) in house and in the field.  He/she also will get a taste of warehousing, picking and receiving, order preparation, loading of delivery vehicles, and driving and delivering product to our customers.  The seasonal Field Service Associate will perform all duties in a clean and safe manner, always adhering to protocol and procedure to ensure smooth ongoing operations.  This is a great opportunity for someone who wishes to work hard and learn new skills that they can utilize in their growing career.
